At Least 1 Killed in Collision at Cherry and Merrill Avenue Saturday
Fontana, CA (March 5, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a deadly traffic accident that occurred in the area of Cherry and Merrill Avenue.
Initial records indicated a Toyota Camry drifted off the roadway for an unknown reason. Subsequently, the car slammed against a pole at the intersection of Cherry and Merrill.
CHP logged the catastrophic incident at about 2:52 a.m.

When emergency crews arrived at the location, they immediately rendered aid to all the occupants in the Camry. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed one person sadly died as a result of the wreck. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Additional details on the fatal crash have not been discussed thus far. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the deadly collision at Cherry and Merrill Avenue in Fontana.
