1 Killed, 1 Seriously Injured in Fontana Crash at Juniper Avenue and Foothill Boulevard
FONTANA, CA (June 2, 2022) – A crash killed one person and seriously injured another at Juniper Avenue and Foothill Boulevard in Fontana.
According to an article published by the Fontana Herald News, the tragic accident took place Thursday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 4:43 a.m.
The incident happened when a white Chevy SUV was gong east on Foothill Boulevard, approaching Juniper Avenue, in Fontana.
At the same time, a Nissan sedan was making a southbound turn onto Juniper from Foothill. Police said for an unknown reason, the two cars collided in the intersection.
2 Cars Collide
Both the man driving the SUV and the female driver of the sedan sustained significant injuries as a result of the collision.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and rushed them to the hospital, where the woman died. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, police forced the area of Foothill and Juniper to shut down for several hours following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Fontana crash is still under investigation.
