Passenger Seriously Injured, Driver Isabel Pineda-Magana Killed
FONTANA (August 10, 2017) – On August 8, a passenger was seriously injured in a rollover collision that killed a driver on Bridlepath Drive near Cherry Avenue.
According to the Press Enterprise, 19-year-old Isabel Pineda-Magana was driving a 2002 Chevy Silverado on Bridlepath Drive when she lost control of the vehicle in an attempt to make a southbound turn onto Cherry Avenue.
Officials said the Silverado rolled over several times and came to a stop at the intersection of Fox Lane and Cherry Avenue.
Fontana Fatal Car Accident
San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the scene shortly after 1:00 a.m. and found Pineda-Magana and a male passenger ejected from their car.
As per the article, the male passenger was immediately taken to a hospital. He was treated for what appeared to be major injuries. His name remained unknown at this time.
Meanwhile, Pineda-Magana was pronounced deceased at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
Investigation on the traffic collision is still ongoing. Authorities have gathered from witnesses that the vehicle was speeding prior to the incident but the information has not been confirmed yet.
