Deadly Collision Involving Big Rig
FONTANA (September 10, 2018)- According to the California Highway Patrol, a deadly collision involving a big rig took place this morning on Sultana Avenue.
Authorities were dispatched to the crash site which transpired at roughly 7:22 a.m.
CHP officials disclosed that a vehicle was stuck underneath the big rig with its driver unresponsive.
Extrication efforts were provided by the Fontana Fire Department, however, the unidentified victim was sadly pronounced dead after being removed from the vehicle.
Details in regards to the cause of the collision remain unclear at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
Authorities remained present at the scene as of 9:40 a.m.

Pending the investigation, the company employing the big rig driver could be held liable for the collision.
