At Least 1 Hurt in Traffic Collision on San Bernardino Freeway Tuesday
Fontana, CA (July 22, 2021) – A suspected hit-and-run crash occurred on Interstate 10, also known as San Bernardino Freeway, Tuesday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, two vehicles collided in the westbound side of the freeway. Officials identified the automobiles involved in the wreck as a dark-colored Nissan sedan, and a white semi truck. The CHP log mentioned a third vehicle, a white Ford Flex, possibly played a role in the accident.
Emergency teams arrived at the location shortly after 9:20 p.m. When medical personnel arrived, they immediately rendered aid to the possible victims. The CHP report confirmed at least one person sustained injures from the incident. Pending confirmation, the name of the victim and the extent of their injuries remained undisclosed.

Officials said a party involved in the mishap fled the scene. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
Several factors surrounding the collision have not been revealed thus far. At the moment, investigators continue to work to determine the precise circumstances that led to the car crash in Fontana.
