Pedestrian Injured in Fontana Crash Near Merrill Avenue and Wheeler Avenue
FONTANA, CA (May 26, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after an accident near Merrill Avenue and Wheeler Avenue in Fontana.
According to an article published by the Fontana Herald News, the incident took place last week on Friday. Officers reported the crash on May 21 at about 4:15 p.m.
Fontana police said an SUV struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason. The car hit the person near the intersection of Merrill Avenue and Wheeler Avenue.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near Sierra Avenue. They found the victim in the roadway who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the accident. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver of the SUV stopped after hitting the person and stayed at the site. Officers blocked the intersection of Merrill and Wheeler after the pedestrian crash.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the collision.
