Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Foothill Farms Crash Near Elkhorn and Hillsdale
FOOTHILL FARMS, CA (August 20, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash near Elkhorn Boulevard and Hillsdale Boulevard in Foothill Farms.
The California Highway Patrol said the wreck took place late Friday morning. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident at about 11:54 a.m.
CHP said a tow truck and the motorcycle rider collided for an unknown reason in Foothill Farms. The two crashed near the intersection of Elkhorn Boulevard and Hillsdale Boulevard.
Motorcycle and Tow Truck Collide
The motorcycle then caught fire upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Safeway grocery store.
Medical personnel found the rider who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. They took the patient to a hospital for treatment.
Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Elkhorn and Hillsdale to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Foothill Farms crash is still under investigation.
