Driver Hospitalized, 3 to 4 Passengers Evaluated at the Scene
CLAREMONT, California (July 31, 2016) – A Foothill Transit bus slammed into an electrical pole Friday afternoon on Indian Hill Boulevard, according to Daily Bulletin.
The collision took place at 5:30 p.m., south of Foothill Boulevard.
As per the article, an initial investigation showed that the driver appeared to have clipped a curb turning right onto Indian Hill Boulevard. The bus then struck the pole, knocking it off at the base.
The vehicle ended up in front of the Life As One church while the pole was found hung suspended by powerlines about 15 feet above the road.
Police said the driver was transported to a hospital with injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Possibly three or four passengers were evaluated at the scene by Los Angeles County firefighters, however, they were not hospitalized.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
