Forrest Isbell Critically Injured After Motorcycle Crash at Todd Road and Santa Rosa Avenue
SANTA ROSA (April 10, 2018) – 58-year-old Forrest Isbell, of Santa Rosa, was severely injured in a traffic collision Sunday afternoon at the intersection of East Todd Road and Santa Rosa Avenue.
According to the Press Democrat, Isbell was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle in the area at approximately 2:10 p.m. Isbell reportedly turned left from a gas station onto northbound Santa Rosa Avenue when he was struck by an SUV heading southbound on Santa Rosa Avenue.
Officials believed a third vehicle turning between Isbell and the SUV may have blocked the vision of the motorists and led to the collision.
Primary reports indicated Isbell, of Santa Rosa, was thrown to the ground as a result of the impact. First responders found the rider lying on the road about 15-feet from his bike. As per the article, Isbell was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
Infant Possibly Hurt in Santa Rosa Car and Motorcycle Crash
An infant in the BMW was apparently transported to a hospital as a precaution following the crash. The condition of the child at this time remained unknown.
Meanwhile, 28-year-old BMW driver Jose Avina was reportedly unharmed in the accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed Isbell and Avina both did not have a driver’s license at the time of the collision. Further investigation is ongoing to determine liability in the incident.
