At Least 1 Badly Hurt in Collision at Franklin and Chestnut Street Friday
Fort Bragg, CA (September 17, 2021) – A suspected hit-and-run crash occurred Friday in the area of Franklin and Chestnut Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a traffic accident involving two vehicles took place at the Fort Bragg intersection. The make and model of the automobile found at the site remained unknown.
The CHP logged the collision at about 5:40 p.m.
When medical personnel arrived at the location, they found a female driver with injuries. Paramedics rendered aid to the victim. It was not immediately known if the injured party was taken to the hospital, or treated at the scene.

Officials later confirmed the other driver fled the scene before police arrived. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
At this time, investigators continue to work to determine the precise circumstances that led to the hit-and-run crash in Fort Bragg.
