1 Injured in Fortuna Crash on Fernbridge Drive Near Highway 101
FORTUNA, CA (September 27, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a car crash on Fernbridge Drive near Highway 101 in Fortuna.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Monday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck shortly after 12:30 p.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Fortuna. They crashed at 281 Fernbridge Drive near the Angelina Woodfired Kitchen restaurant.
2 Cars Collide
The report described the cars as a Chrysler 300 and a Nissan Quest. The Chrysler obtained major front-end damage while the Nissan went 20 feet into the bushes upon impact.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Highway 101. They found one person who sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the Providence Redwood Memorial Hospital for treatment. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Fernbridge Drive to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Fortuna crash is still under investigation.
