4-Year-Old Child is Only Survivor of Solo Collision
COLTON, Calif. (Dec. 17, 2024) – A solo-vehicle crash on the 10 Freeway near Colton on Sunday, left four people dead and left a four-year-old child critically injured.
The crash occurred around 4:45 p.m. on December 15th in the eastbound lanes of the 10 Freeway, just east of Riverside Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver of a Toyota Camry reportedly veered off the freeway, struck a tree stump on the right shoulder, and the car began to smoke and catch fire.
There were five people in the vehicle and four were killed. Meanwhile, the lone survivor, a four-year-old child, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, the CHP said.
There are no further details about the collision at this time. The CHP is heading up an investigation into what happened.
