FOWLER, CALIFORNIA (March 31, 2016) – A woman sustained fatal injuries following a collision with a big rig at East Manning and South Clovis Avenues Thursday afternoon, per the Fresno Bee.
The accident happened at around 4:27 p.m. as Shima Davoudi Kanderagh, 23, was driving her Toyota Corolla heading northbound on Clovis Avenue. A big rig heading eastbound Manning suddenly struck Kanderagh as she entered the intersection.
The 23-year-old victim was flown to Community Regional Medical Center. She later died of her injuries .
The specific cause of the collision remains under investigation as it remains unclear what the exact trigger was at this time.
