Frances Pagliocca Killed in Niles Canyon Accident
FREMONT, Alameda County (July 27, 2017) – On July 24, a traffic collision killed a woman and injured two people on Highway 84 west of Palomares Road in Niles Canyon.
According to Mercury News, the crash happened at about 12:30 p.m. when 59-year-old Frances Pagliocca rear-ended a vehicle on the eastbound Highway 84 after allegedly tailgating and attempting to pass that car.
Pagliocca then lost control, drove past under a train bridge, and veered into the opposite laneway. She went up a rock wall embankment after swerving twice in an attempt to avoid hitting a westbound motorist.
Her car subsequently overturned onto its roof. The Pleasanton woman died at the scene.
