Woman Killed in Crash on M Street in Merced
MERCED, Calif. (Oct. 27, 2022) — Frances Palm, 67, died in a crash Wednesday on M Street at Buena Vista Drive in Merced.
The two-vehicle collision occurred on Oct. 26, according to ABC 30 News.
Authorities say they are investigating whether or not street racing was a factor in the collision.
A driver in a Chevy Camaro sedan was reportedly traveling southbound on M Street and Frances Palm was driving a Nissan Altima on Buena Vista Drive. Police believe that the Nissan pulled out directly into the path of the Camaro. She suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
Meanwhile, 25-year-old driver of the Camaro survived the crash with undisclosed injuries.
Officials believe that street racing could be a factor in the collision, but the investigation is ongoing.
