Francis Carpenito, 45, Killed in Crash at San Tomas Expressway and El Camino Real

November 2, 2018 – A 45-year-old motorist was killed in a traffic collision at the intersection of San Tomas Expressway and El Camino Real, according to the Mercury News.
The fatality was identified by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office as Francis Carpenito, of Campbell.
As per the article, Carpenito was driving northbound on San Tomas Expressway. When he reached the crossing at El Camino Real, his Mercedes-Benz veered off the roadway and crashed into a wooden power in the area.
Deadly Car Accident in Santa Clara, November 1
Shortly after the 10:20 a.m. accident, emergency personnel arrived at the location and found Carpenito trapped in the wreckage. Paramedics sadly pronounced the driver deceased at the scene.
At this time, it is still unclear if another motorist was involved in the collision. The exact circumstances that led to the incident are still being investigated.
