Fatal Crash Involving Pedestrian in San Marcos
SAN MARCOS, Calif. (Sept. 12, 2024) — Francisca Garcia Vargas, 76, of San Marcos, died last Friday in a pedestrian accident on Twin Oaks Valley Road at North City Drive in San Marcos.
The deadly crash occurred at 9:07 p.m. on Sept. 6th, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner.
The report stated the woman was struck by a southbound car traveling on Twin Oaks Valley Road.
Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the injured woman to Palomar Medical Center where she died roughly 30 minutes later.
The San Diego Sheriff’s Department is investigating the circumstances and will determine fault.
