Francisca Pineda, 62, Killed in Mojave Crash on Tehachapi Willow Springs Road
MOJAVE, CA (September 13, 2021) – Francisca Pineda was killed after a crash on Tehachapi Willow Springs Road near Mojave.
The coroner’s office identified the 62-year-old Mojave woman as one of the victims in the fatal wreck which took place last week on Friday.
The incident happened when Francisca Noemi Pineda was riding as a passenger in a vehicle which collided with another car in Mojave.
The California Highway Patrol said the two crashed head-on for an unknown reason on Tehachapi Willow Springs Road. The area is just south of Aqueduct Road.
2 Cars Collide Head-On
A CHP dispatch described the vehicles as a Honda Odyssey and a Hyundai Sonata. The Kern Golden Empire wrote that the accident occurred on September 10 at about 3:10 p.m.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and pronounced Francisca Pineda dead at the Tehachapi Willow Springs Road crash.
Another person died as a result of the collision. Air ambulances took the other patients to the Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Tehachapi Willow Springs Road to shut down for several hours following the wreck. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
