Bicyclist Killed in West Los Angeles Truck Accident
WEST LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Nov. 9, 2018) – Francisco Guzman Carranza, 34, of Glendale, died Thursday when his bicycle was struck by a big rig truck as he rode in the West Los Angeles area.
The man was struck about 9:40 a.m. in the 11200 block of West Santa Monica Boulevard, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported. The incident took place at the southbound on-ramp to the 405 freeway on Santa Monica Blvd.
According to bikinginla.com, the man’s death was one of at least 44 involving a bicyclist in Southern California this year and the one of at least 22 in Los Angeles County.

The report does not provide enough information to determine fault. Police are reviewing the facts of this case in order to piece together what happened.
