Riverside Man, 32, Killed, Four Injured in Anaheim Crash
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (August 23, 2022) — Francisco Javier Flores, 32, of Riverside, died and four people were injured Sunday night in a two-vehicle crash on the 91 Freeway in the FasTrak lanes.
The “high speed” collision occurred in the eastbound lanes of the 91 Freeway just before 6 p.m. on August 21st, according to the Orange County Register.
The drivers of a black pickup truck and a white Toyota Corolla collided due to unknown circumstances, just west of Imperial Highway.
Francisco Javier Flores was traveling in the pickup truck that suffered major front-end damage in the crash. He was ejected from the vehicle and died on scene, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
Meanwhile, the Toyota suffered major damage to its driver’s side, but its occupants survived with unknown injuries. Police say an adult and three children were in the Toyota.
Investigators with the California Highway Patrol are investigating the cause of the crash.
