Man, 39, Injured in Pedestrian Accident
DATE OF COLLISION: Saturday, January 26th
January 28, 2019- According to the California Highway Patrol, a man sustained moderate injuries over the weekend following a pedestrian accident on Kentucky Street.
CHP officials were notified of the collision which occurred around 8:00 a.m.
The victim identified as Francisco Rivas, 39, suffered moderate to serious injuries after being struck by the involved vehicle described as an SUV.
Paramedics quickly arrived to transport Rivas to a nearby hospital. His current condition remains unclear at this time.
The driver involved was confirmed to have stopped and was cooperative with police following the collision.
Details in regards to what exactly happened leading up to the incident were not discussed in the report.
Authorities remained present at the scene as of 10:30 a.m.
