Jessica Torres, 27, Killed in Pasadena Hit-and-Run on Fair Oaks Avenue
PASADENA (October 23, 2018) – The hit-and-run driver who killed a pedestrian along Fair Oaks Avenue on October 21 has been arrested, according to Pasadena Star News and KTLA.
The suspect, 24-year-old Francisco Javier Soto-Cedillo, was taken into custody on Tuesday at a house in the 800 block of North Oakland Avenue.
As per the reports, police said Soto-Cedillo was driving a white SUV north on North Fair Oaks Avenue when he struck 27-year-old Jessica Torres.

Torres, of Pasadena, was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident took place at about 7:20 p.m. on Sunday near Claremont Street.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that Soto-Cedillo did not stop to render aid and fled after hitting Torres. The Pasadena man was later located and arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and felony hit-and-run with a bail set at $85,000.
The suspect also had an outstanding DUI warrant from a drunken driving case. The investigation is ongoing.
