Frank Randell Bethel, 65, Fatal Victim in Aircraft Accident Near Likely Sunday
Modoc, CA (June 22, 2021) – Frank Randell Bethel, a 65-year-old man, died following a small plane crash near Likely on June 20, Sunday.
The Action News Now reported Frank Bethel was a passenger in the small aircraft that took off from a field at the ranch in Modoc County. According to the article, a witness claimed the plane failed to get a high enough altitude. As a result, the small aircraft crashed.

Shortly after 9:10 a.m., rescue teams responded to the location of the tragic incident. Paramedics found the passenger unconscious. Despite life-saving measures, the 65-year-old man succumbed to his injuries and died. The Modoc County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the identity of the fatal victim as Frank Bethel, of Modoc County.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
