 Frank Romero Fatal Fresno Bicycle Accident Herndon and Blackstone Avenues Fresno Man Killed in Bicycle Accident is Identified

FRESNO, Calif. (May 26, 2022) — Frank Romero, 74, of Fresno, died early Tuesday in a Fresno bicycle accident at Herndon and Blackstone avenues in north Fresno.

The deadly crash occurred just before 5:30 a.m. on May 24th at the Fresno intersection, according to ABC 30 News.

the Fresno man was reportedly riding a bicycle when a driver struck him in the middle of the roadway. Police and paramedics arrived at the scene and located the victim suffering from serious injuries. Despite efforts to save his life, the man died a short time later.

Meanwhile, investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the crash.

The driver involved in the collision stopped and is cooperating with the investigation.

Police are working to determine if drugs or alcohol were factors in the Fresno bike crash.

Authorities closed down eastbound Herndon Avenue at Maroa Avenue and southbound Blackstone Avenue for roughly three hours.
