Franklin Horton Injured; Suspected DUI Driver Killed
TURLOCK (August 7, 2017) – One was killed and another was injured in an alleged DUI crash on Highway 165 late Saturday night, according to Visalia Times Delta.
The accident involving two vehicles took place around 10:15 p.m., north of Fowler Road.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said a 27-year-old Turlock man was driving a 2004 Toyota Corolla north on Highway 165 when for an unknown reason he veered onto the shoulder.

The driver allegedly over corrected. The Corolla spun into the southbound lanes and struck an oncoming 1988 Chevrolet Silverado.
CHP affirmed that the driver of the Chevrolet, 68-year-old Hilmar resident Franklin Horton, attempted to slow down but crashed into the right front end of the Corolla. He complained of pain but refused to be treated.
Meanwhile, the 27-year-old motorist died at the scene. He was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol when the collision occurred.
The incident remains under investigation.
