Motorcycle Sergeant Hospitalized After Collision Near Rainbow Valley Boulevard
Temecula, CA (July 4, 2022) – Franklin White, a San Diego Police Department motorcycle sergeant, suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Rainbow Canyon Road.
The NBC News reported White was riding his police-issued motorcycle heading north on Rainbow Canyon Road Saturday evening. According to the article published online, the officer lost control of his motorbike while making a curve near Rainbow Valley Boulevard.
Authorities said the rider slid onto its right side and collided with a 2000 Nissan Frontier pickup truck. The collision took place around 8:35 p.m.
When rescue teams arrived at the site, they found the officer suffering in major injuries. Paramedics transported Franklin White, a 42-year-old Temecula resident, to Inland Valley Medical Center for treatment.
Officials mentioned the driver of the Nissan appeared unharmed after the wreck.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the crash happened on Rainbow Canyon Road in Temecula.
