Major Car Accident on State Route 98 Near Mile Marker 51
Holtville, CA (November 21, 2021) – Freddi Vasquez-Hernandez suffered injuries following a traffic crash that occurred on State Route Highway 98 on October 21.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a US Border Patrol vehicle collided with one or more cars on the highway in Holtville. The accident took place near mile marker 51.
Preliminary investigation revealed a gray Toyota Tundra was found at the scene.

Shortly after 7:10 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the site. First responders rendered aid to all possible victims. According to the CHP dispatch, seven or more people possibly sustained injuries as result of the wreck.
Officials identified one victim as Freddi Vasquez-Hernandez. At this time, the age of the injured party remained undisclosed.
The CHP log mentioned officials ended up taking into custody eight undocumented individual from the crash site. Additional details on the illegal immigrants remained undisclosed.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine exactly how and why the car accident in Holtville happened.
