Freddy Perez, 30, Killed in Mission Hills Hit-and-Run Near Rinaldi and Sepulveda
LOS ANGELES, CA (July 17, 2022) – Freddy Perez was killed after a hit-and-run crash near Rinaldi Street and Sepulveda Boulevard in Mission Hills.
The coroner’s office identified the 30-year-old Granada Hills man as the victim of the fatal wreck which took place on Saturday night.
The incident happened when Freddy Perez was riding a motorcycle west on Rinaldi Street in the Mission Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles.
For an unknown reason, a vehicle struck him west of Sepulveda Boulevard. The KTLA News and CBS Los Angeles wrote that the accident occurred on July 16 at around 11:45 p.m.
Driver Hits Motorcyclist, Flees Scene
Paramedics arrived and found the motorcyclist down on the ground. Police said he sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
The rider soon died at the scene. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver did not stop to render aid to the man and continued westbound on Rinaldi.
The suspect drove onto the southbound 405 Freeway and fled the area. The reports described the car as a dark-colored long-bed Chevrolet Sierra pickup truck.
Officers are still searching for the hit-and-run driver who left Freddy Perez in the roadway. The cause of the Mission Hills hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
