Smoking Vehicle in Fremont California, Near Highway 262
FREMONT, Calif. (September 13, 2024) — A multi-vehicle Fremont car accident happened Friday morning on the Interstate 680 Freeway, north of Highway 262 in Alameda County.
The traffic accident occurred at around 10:56 AM on September 13th, 2024, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A grey Toyota Corolla and a pickup truck collided due to unknown circumstances in Fremont.
CHP also reported additional vehicles involved in the crash including a silver Nissan sedan and an oil tanker truck. All of the vehicles were blocking the two right lanes of the freeway.
The Toyota began smoking after the collision. Meanwhile, tow trucks were needed on the scene to remove the damaged vehicles from the freeway.
The Toyota had major front-end and rear-end damage, according to the CHP report.
Paramedics responded and located those with injuries and transported them to a nearby hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
Investigators are working to determine who is at fault for the 680 Freeway car accident in Fremont California.
