Person Riding Electric Bicycle Struck, Killed in Fremont
FREMONT, Calif. (April 26, 2023) — A fatal Fremont bicycle accident happened Tuesday night on Peralta Boulevard and Camden Street in the city’s Centerville District.
The deadly crash occurred around 9:50 p.m. on April 25th, according to a report by NBC Bay Area News.
A driver in a black Tesla reportedly struck the person riding a black electric bicycle due to unknown circumstances.
The person riding the e-bike suffered major injuries and died at the scene. Authorities have not released the victim’s age, gender or identity at this time. Meanwhile, the driver in the Tesla stopped the vehicle and cooperated with police at the scene.
Authorities closed down the intersection for several hours to investigate the collision.
Finally, the cause of the Fremont accident on Peralta Boulevard remains under investigation.
