Fremont Fatal Car Crash at Stewart Avenue and Boyce Road

1 Killed in Fremont Crash at Stewart Avenue and Boyce Road

FREMONT, CA (September 26, 2022) – A big rig crash killed one person at Stewart Avenue and Boyce Road in Fremont.

According to the East Bay Times and CBS San Francisco, the tragic accident took place early Monday. Officers reported the wreck at around 4:15 a.m.

The incident happened when a passenger vehicle was going west on Stewart Avenue, approaching Boyce Road, in Fremont. At the same time, a tanker truck was traveling north on Boyce.

Police said the car entered the intersection and then for an unknown reason, collided with the big rig. The two crashed west of Interstate Highway 880 and about 0.7 mile north of Auto Mall Parkway.

Car and Big Rig Collide

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found three occupants inside the car. They soon pronounced one passenger dead at the scene.

The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, the driver of the truck ended up unharmed following the collision.

Officers forced the area of Stewart and Boyce to shut down as a result of the wreck. The cause of the fatal Fremont crash is still under investigation.
