Major Injury Collision Near Auto Mall Parkway

Fremont, CA (October 8, 2022) – At least one person suffered injuries following a traffic crash that occurred on the Interstate 880 Freeway Saturday evening.

The California Highway Patrol group reported a man riding a motorcycle collided with a dark gray Honda Odyssey. Officials said the accident took place near Auto Mall Parkway.

Shortly after 6:05 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics found the motorbike and rider lying in the slow lane of the freeway. Medical personnel immediately rendered aid to the motorcyclist. Following the evaluation, authorities confirmed the victim sustained major trauma. Personal information on the injured party remained undisclosed pending confirmation.

Detectives stayed at the scene the whole evening. At this time, they continue to investigate the precise cause of the collision that happened on Interstate 880 in Fremont.
