Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Fremont Hit-and-Run Near Peralta and Dusterberry
FREMONT, CA (July 1, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash seriously injured a pedestrian near Peralta Boulevard and Dusterberry Way in Fremont.
According to the East Bay Times and CBS San Francisco, the accident took place on Wednesday night. Officers reported the collision on June 30 at about 10:30 p.m.
The incident happened when a male pedestrian was pushing a cart full or recyclables and personal items in the Centerville neighborhood of Fremont.
Police said for an unknown reason, a vehicle struck the elderly man. The driver hit him near the intersection of Peralta Boulevard and Dusterberry Way.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found him left lying on the ground. He sustained major injuries as a result of the crash.
Medical personnel soon rushed the victim to a local trauma center for treatment. His name and condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the pedestrian and fled the area. They forced the intersection of Peralta and Dusterberry to shut down following the accident.
