At Least 1 Badly Hurt After Collision on West Side (5) Freeway Wednesday
French Camp, CA (May 19, 2021) – A traffic accident involving a big rig occurred Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 5, also known as West Side Freeway.
The California Highway Patrol group reported a white van crashed into the rear of a truck in the northbound side of the freeway in French Camp. Initial records indicated the collision took place near the Roth Road onramp.

Shortly after 1:30 p.m., paramedics arrived at the location and rendered aid to all possible victims. Authorities later confirmed at least one person sustained major injuries as a result of the crash. The name of the injured party, and their age remained unknown at this time.
Several factors surrounding the car and big rig accident have not been discussed thus far. Given that, detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led to the crash.
