FRESNO, CALIFORNIA (May 22, 2014)- Two drivers collided Thursday morning in a crash that injured a dog badly and knocked over a power pole on Highway 168 at E Shepherd Avenue, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
About 8:11 a.m., CHP officers say the driver of a large F450 truck hauling two tons of rocks and another vehicle were blocking westbound lanes following the collision. The SPCA was called to come attend to the dog who was badly injured and laying in the street just west of the scene of the crash, the report said.
Paramedics were also asked to respond to the scene of the crash to assist those possibly injured in the wreck.
“Police will issue a report assigning liability for this accident among the parties involved,” said Attorney James Johnson.
