U-Turn Turns into a 2-Vehicle Crash
FRESNO, Calif. (Sept. 13, 2023) – A driver crashed into another motorist making a U-turn Tuesday at Carozza Park located at Olive Avenue and Winery Avenue in Fresno.
The two-vehicle collision occurred on the afternoon of Sept. 12th, according to Your Central Valley news.
The first driver in a white sedan was reportedly dropping off a passenger at a home and then proceeded to make a U-turn while crossing double yellow lines in the middle of the roadway. Meanwhile, a driver in a black pickup truck struck the first driver. The pickup went off the roadway and crashed through a fence into the wall of a restroom next to a park playground. Both vehicles sustained major front-end damage in the collision near Ewing Elementary School.
Paramedics responded and located one man with injuries following the collision. They transported the person to a hospital, the Fresno Police Department said. There were no other injuries reported at the scene of the crash.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
