Bicyclist Injured in Fresno Hit-and-Run at Blackstone and Nees Avenues
FRESNO, CA (May 28, 2021) – A bicyclist was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Blackstone and Nees avenues in Fresno.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident occurred on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the incident at about 3:25 p.m.
According to CHP, a vehicle struck the bicycle rider for an unknown reason in Fresno. The driver hit the cyclist at the intersection of North Blackstone and East Nees avenues.
Bicycle Rider Hit by Vehicle Near Highway 41
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Highway 41. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the crash. Officials did not release the name of the wounded bicyclist and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist involved did not stop to render aid to the rider and fled the area. Officers closed the intersection of Blackstone and Nees following the hit-and-run collision.
Authorities are still searching for the suspect.
