Major Injury Collision at Fresno Intersection
FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (August 4, 2023) — A major-injury car accident in Fresno happened Friday morning at East American Avenue and South Maple Avenue.
The two-vehicle collision occurred around 8:15 a.m. on August 4th, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a 2001 Toyota RAV4 and a white Chevrolet pickup truck were involved. One of the vehicles also crashed into a nearby telephone pole.
One of the motorists called 911 to report the crash and request paramedics respond.
The driver from the pickup truck was transported by ambulance to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment of undisclosed injuries. Meanwhile, police are looking into what led up to the collision in the first place.
The Fresno Police Department is heading up the investigation into the car accident on American Avenue in Fresno.
