1 Hospitalized After Collision Near Manning Avenue
Fresno, CA (June 8, 2022) – At least one person suffered injuries following a traffic crash that occurred on Highway 99 Wednesday morning.

According to Bakersfield Now, a big rig pulling two trailers and an Amazon van collided into each other in the southbound side of SR-99. Earlier reports indicated the accident took place in the area near Manning Avenue between Selma and Fowler.
Officials said a the big rig carrying river rocks drifted off the roadway due to the force from the impact. Subsequently, the truck crashed into another vehicle. The big rig continued driving and came to a rest after slamming into the Manning Avenue overpass.
Shortly after 11:15 a.m., emergency crews arrived at the location. First responders found one person trapped in the wreckage. Firefighters reportedly worked extensively to extricate the victim. The article published online mentioned medical personnel rushed the victim to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Several factors surrounding the incident remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the crash happened on Highway 99 in Fresno.
