3 Injured in Fresno Crash at Ashlan Avenue and Parkway Drive
FRESNO, CA (April 19, 2022) – Several were hospitalized after a car crash at Ashlan Avenue and Parkway Drive in Fresno.
According to an article published by The Fresno Bee, the accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 12:20 p.m.
The incident began when a Toyota Camry was going west on West Ashlan Avenue, approaching North Parkway Drive, in Fresno.
Driver Runs Red Light, Hits 2 Cars
Police said for an unknown reason, the driver of the Toyota ran a red light at the intersection. In the process, the Camry slammed into a Kia Spectra and a Honda Civic.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found a total of three people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Police described the patients as an occupant of the Camry and two people riding the Kia. Medical personnel then took them to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Ashlan Avenue and Parkway Drive to shut down for an hour following the wreck. The cause of the Fresno crash is still under investigation.
