1 Injured in Fresno Crash at Chestnut and McKinley Avenues

FRESNO, CA (March 30, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a car crash at Chestnut and McKinley avenues in east central Fresno.

According to an article published by the ABC 30 News, the accident occurred on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the wreck at around 6 a.m.

The incident happened when a Volkswagen Passat ran a red light at the intersection of Chestnut and McKinley avenues in Fresno.

Driver Runs Red Light, Hits 2 Other Cars

Police said in the process, the Volkswagen slammed into a Yukon and a Mazda. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene.

Medical personnel found the motorist in the Yukon injured as a result of the collision. They took the victim to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

Officials did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, police affirmed that driver of the Volkswagen did not have a license at the time of the crash.

They later cited the suspect. Officers forced the intersection of Chestnut and McKinley to shut down following the Fresno collision. Authorities are still investigating the wreck.
