3 Injured in Fresno Crash at Maroa and Clinton Avenues

FRESNO, CA (November 8, 2022) – Several were hospitalized after a car crash at Maroa and Clinton avenues in Fresno.

According to an article published by The Fresno Bee, the accident took place on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on November 7 at about 3:30 p.m.

The incident happened when an SUV was going north on Maroa Avenue, crossing Clinton Avenue, in central Fresno. At the same time, a car was traveling west on Clinton in the left lane.

Driver Runs Red Light, Hits Another Car

For an unknown reason, the driver of the SUV ran a red light in the intersection. Police said the SUV slammed into the other car which ended up hitting a 1960s-era utility vehicle in the right lane.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene of the rain-slick intersection. They found a total of three people hurt as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then rushed the patients to hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries. The report did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Maroa and Clinton avenues to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Fresno crash is still under investigation.
