1 Seriously Injured in Fresno Car Crash Highway 41 at Friant Road Off-Ramp
FRESNO, CA (August 28, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on Highway 41 and Friant Road in Fresno.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place early Saturday. Officers reported the wreck at about 3:19 a.m.
According to CHP, a silver SUV and two other vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Fresno. They crashed on southbound Highway 41 at the Friant Road off-ramp.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
One of the cars involved slammed into a pole while another went down an embankment upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. They then took the patient to the Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced southbound Highway 41 at the Friant off-ramp to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Fresno crash is still under investigation.
