1 Seriously Injured in Fresno Car Crash on Southbound Highway 41 Near Van Ness
FRESNO, CA (July 18, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on Highway 41 near Van Ness Avenue in Fresno.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the wreck took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the accident at about 10:07 a.m.
CHP said at least three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Fresno. They crashed on the southbound side of Highway 41, just south of Van Ness Avenue.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
The report log described two of the cars involved as a 2006 black Toyota Corolla and a black colored SUV. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. They then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment.
Officials did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the southbound lanes of Highway 41 to shut down following the wreck.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Fresno car crash.
