Driver Injured in Collision Near Highway 99
Fresno, CA (August 3, 2022) – A traffic crash that occurred on Clovis Avenue resulted in injuries, according to Your Central Valley News.
Earlier reports indicated a sweeper truck slammed into the rear of a van stopped at a red light near Highway 99. Officials said the sweeper truck continued through and hit a utility pole. Due to the force from the impact, some power lines ended up falling down the roadway.
Multi-Vehicle Crash on Clovis Avenue in Fresno
Shortly after the incident, rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found five other vehicles of unknown make and model involved in the collision.
Medical personnel later confirmed the driver of the van sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. Personal information on the victim, and their condition at this time have not been revealed thus far.
Preliminary investigation revealed the driver of the sweeper truck apparently fell asleep behind the wheel, leading to the crash.
Detectives handling the case continue to determine several unclear factors surrounding the traffic accident that happened on Clovis Avenue in Fresno.
