1 Seriously Injured in Fresno County Crash at American Avenue and Cove Avenue
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (August 23, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash at American Avenue and Cove Avenue in Fresno County.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:40 p.m.
CHP said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Fresno County. They crashed at the intersection of East American Avenue and Cove Avenue.
2 Cars Collide
The incident log described the cars involved as a gray Ford Focus and a silver Kia SUV. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Squaw Valley and Orange Cove.
They found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment.
Officials did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of American and Cove avenues to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Fresno County crash is still under investigation.
