Several Injured in Fresno County Crash at Goldenrod and Belmont Avenues
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (June 3, 2022) – Several were injured after a car crash at Goldenrod Avenue and Belmont Avenue in Fresno County.
According to the ABC 3o News and Your Central Valley, the accident took place in the afternoon of Friday. It happened near Kerman.
The incident began when a vehicle was going north on Goldenrod Avenue, approaching Belmont Avenue, in Fresno County. At the same time, an SUV was traveling west on Belmont.
For an unknown reason, the driver of first car did not stop at the intersection. The California Highway Patrol said in the process, the vehicle slammed into the SUV.
2 Cars Collide
The SUV then rolled over into a canal nearby. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and freed multiple trapped occupants from the wreckage.
The patients sustained minor to moderate injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel at the site provided treatment and assistance to the victims.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Goldenrod and Belmont avenues to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Fresno County crash is still under investigation.
