2 Injured in Suspected DUI Crash on Highway 180
FRESNO, Calif. (May 24, 2021) — A Fresno County crash on Highway 180 left two men injured Sunday night at Brawley Avenue.
A suspected drunken driver in a Chevrolet Sonic allegedly crashed into the back of a pickup truck in west central Fresno.
The collision happened just before 10:00 p.m. on the westbound side of Highway 180, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Toyota pickup truck had been heading westbound on Highway 180. However, when the light turned green, the Chevrolet Sonic rear-ended the truck.
There were two men traveling in the pickup truck who suffered injuries. Paramedics transported the driver to Community Regional Medical Center in downtown Fresno. Medical personnel treated him for complaints of chest pain and a nosebleed.
Meanwhile, his passenger declined treatment for his minor injuries in the Highway 180 crash
Finally, the driver was arrested by CHP officers for driving under the influence.
