5 Injured in Fresno County Head-On Crash Near Minnewawa and Lincoln Avenues
FRESNO COUNTY (July 17, 2019) – Several were hospitalized after an alleged DUI crash along Minnewawa Avenue Wednesday evening.
California Highway Patrol said the accident involving two vehicles took place at approximately 6:45 p.m., west of Highway 99 near the Easton area.
According to reports by ABC 30 News and The Fresno Bee, the incident began when a white Subaru was going north on Minnewawa Avenue near Lincoln Avenue.
The Subaru then swerved into the lane of a gray Honda. The two ultimately collided head-on.

Paramedics responded to the scene and confirmed that all three women riding the Honda were injured as a result of the collision. Two of them suffered major injuries upon impact.
The two men in the Subaru were also hurt in the wreck. All five parties involved were transported to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Their names and condition at this time were not immediately available. Meanwhile, CHP believed that alcohol played a role in the incident which is still under investigation.
