2 Killed, 1 Seriously Injured in Fresno County Crash at Kamm and Jameson
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (November 14, 2022) – A crash at Kamm and Jameson avenues killed two people and seriously injured one other person in Fresno County.
According to The Fresno Bee and FOX 26 News, the tragic accident took place on Monday morning. Officers reported the wreck at around 7 a.m.
The incident happened when a big rig was going north on Jameson Avenue, approaching Kamm Avenue, in Fresno County. At the same time, a Toyota Camry was traveling east on Kamm.
For an unknown reason, the semi-truck ran a stop sign at the intersection. The California Highway Patrol said the two then collided.
Big Rig Runs Red Light, Hits Car
Both the car and the big rig rolled over as a result of the collision. The impact launched the Toyota about 40 feet into a vineyard in the area.
The two men riding the truck ended up ejected from their vehicle. Paramedics arrived and pronounced one of them and the driver of the Camry dead at the scene.
The other man survived the incident with serious injuries. An air ambulance flew the patient to the Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Kamm and Jameson avenues to shut down for a time following the crash.
The cause of the fatal wreck that left the semi-truck leaking fuel on the road is still under investigation.
